Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it was possible that having bladder stones could cause a guinea pig to have gas/ be bloated?

Bloat can also be caused by medicines such as antibiotics and it's always best to get meds such as Cisapride and/or Emeprid when on Baytril which can be harsh with their gut. We've had lots of boys with stones and these alone wouldn't cause bloat.

Bladder stones don't directly cause bloat/gas, but they can cause digestive issues as a side effect, they can throw the gut out of whack due to pain, stress or if your piggie stops eating normally etc.
