My female guinea pig is bleeding from her bum, it was only a little bit but she kept licking it but it was coming back. It has stopped now but i have noticed her licking or doing smth to her bum but there's no blood on her bedding. i can't take her to the vet until tomorrow. is it serious if it was only a bit and it stopped now or should i be scared and take her to the vet?

Hi

Please see your vet tomorrow and make sure they check both the reproductive tract (ovarian cysts) and not just the urinary tract.

If the bleeding has stopped and your piggy is still OK in herself, then please take a picture of the bloody spot(s) to allow your vet to get an idea of the amount tomorrow but it is NOT a life or death emergency - that is only the case if the bleeding cannot be stopped.

All the best. Any major bleed should be ideally seen within 24 or as soon after as possible.
