Hi,

Yesterday my guinea pig Persephone started bleeding from around her genitals. We took her to the emergency vet who told us to give her pain meds and to see an exotic vet asap. We got an appointment for her today where she had an ultrasound. We were told based on the scan that she has a tumour in her bladder and to continue her on the Metacam until it's time to pts.
I'm completely devastated and not really sure how to process what it is happening.
I want her to have the best few weeks possible so thought I'd come on here to ask if there's anything particularly interesting or good to give her, such as nice foods.
I also am concerned about making sure my other guinea pig, Hestia is okay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I am so sorry that the outcome wasn't better for Persephone how amazing that you are looking to make every day count for her. I will keep you all in my prayers and thoughts. I will try to attach a guide that may help and I'm sure others will be on here soon to offer support and advice. 💐

Section 4 may offer some help we are all here for you 🙏

I’m so sorry Persephone has had this diagnosis. Sending you massive hugs. ❤️

I had a piggy on palliative care and I just kept the routine much the same as I didn’t want him to get bloat or an upset tummy. But I did pet him lots and took lots of pictures and made sure he had lots of pain medication.

I hope she has many more happy days with you.
