New Born Pup
Hi
This my first time of posting. Until recently I had two bonded male Guinea pigs. My 5 year old recently passed away due to kidney issues as complications with bladder stones that I had managed to prevent for 3 years with meds and diet. My other boar was neutered the start of this month as he was more dominant & felt wound be easier to get him a sow for company. All went ok with neutering but shortly after found he had a small stone & was told he should be able to pass it. However now stone larger and he is having surgery. I am so worried as second surgery less than a month apart. Was wondering about other’s experience with this operation? I am also just shocked this has happened, my boars were not related, I had always been very careful re diet( even filtering water) and he never had any health issues before in 2 years had him. So what are the chances of two unrelated pigs having this issue?
