Can someone help me with what to do for this woman for her piggy.. Thick cloudy white pee.. Seems normal at first but there is also a chunky bit need to know
You will need to have your piggy seen by a vet. These symptoms could be related to high levels of calcium in the diet and the potential for bladder sludge/stone formation.
Excess calcium is excreted in the urine so the occasional cloudy pee is fine, but if it becomes thick and gritty when dried then you will need to see a vet to have the bladder checked and also have a look at the diet piggy is being given.
You will want to ensure the diet is 80% hay, that high calcium veg (spinach, calcium, kale, dill) is kept to a minimum/infrequently in the diet. Most importantly, a large amount of calcium comes from overfeeding pellets and drinking water. You should ensure pellets are kept to one tablespoon per pig per day and they are a low calcium grain free version as well as making sure all drinking water is filtered. Calcium absorption is complicated and changes to the diet can take weeks to have an effect but making changes to the diet would be advisable if there is a problem there. Do see a vet most importantly though.
The piggy will need to be seen by a vet. Urine shouldn’t have chunky bits in it. It could be bladder sludge which will need dealing with but only a vet can diagnose and treat any problems
