Hi all

I don't know what to do I know a few months ago I wrote about how one of my boys Fred was biting and pulling on my clothes ... I tried moving him from the spot where he was biting but he just seems to be getting worse. He has just bitten into my arm right through my jumper... He comes out everyday I always make sure that I am sat on a cushion on the floor with them so they can sit on my lamp and feel secure. Fred runs over to the side of the cage when I come into the room and he takes his veggie treats from me, he just seems to love biting me to. He has also started to grab onto the sleevs of my jumper and pulling them as hard as he can. I always have to wear a jumper as I really don't want him doing this to my bare arms... Does anyone have any advice please as I really don't know *** to do?

How old is Fred? I have a biter who was worse when he was younger - still will if you give him the chance, but over time, he's become used to being handled and now knows who's boss! (Although he doesn't always respect that fact!)

When Minty bits, or tries to, I usually tell him a firm 'no'. Seems to have worked. He will now nibble if he wants to go back home, but serious scar making bits are rare.

He's only young between 6 and 8 months old I will just have to perservere I think and make sure I have a jumper handy ... thanks for your reply.

Sometimes it is a thing about the jumper that attracts them, not the biting of you. Take your jumper off and put him next to it to see if he still bites it.

Junior regularly nips at the zip on my jumper. He just likes the zip, I guess.

Hello, one of my pigs bites at my clothes when he needs a wee ! :))
It's usually when he's been on my lap for a while and doesn't want to embarass himself. Do you think it could be that ? If not I expect previous post was right and he just needs time to get used to handling, good luck with him !

I have the same problem with my 7 month old boar. I usually give a firm no and lightly push my finger on his nose! My other boar grew out of this eventually (although seems to like zips) so I'm hoping this little nipper will too. Hopefully your little man will grow out of it. :x
