My piggy Bubbles has always been more nervous than Nymeria and has been biting people since the beginning.
I have no clue why.
I handle her carefully, I pet her where she likes, I hand feed her, she has no injuries (not even internal, she had an ultrasound) etc. She has fallen once but I don't think that traumatized her because the weeks after it, she was just fine. Her behaviour didnt change.
But now I noticed that she always bites me when I pick her up and is always talking (i dont know how else to describe it). When I pet her on the cage she purrs in a satified way. Some times she does when shes in my arms and petting her though. She sometimes licks my hand instead of biting but usually she just bites whatever she can.
Is that just her personality?
Am I doing something wrong?

Biting is usually due to two reasons- either pain or fear. I think the latter is the case here. Sometimes guinea pigs aren't ever going to be 100% happy at handling. My Mo for instance will be 2 this January and has been handled by myself on many occasions and yet he still runs when I go to get him and will nip me if he gets the chance.

Take things slow and always offer veg so she associates handling with food. There is also pouches etc you can purchase that allow your piggy to feel more secure while transporting them from A to B.

Oh. Weird thing is that she barely ever runs away when I go to pick her up.
