Biting Ears

I think my guineas are fighting. I had 2 but [Jumpy and Nibbles] Nibbles died so I got another [squidge] My mum says Jumpy thinks she is the boss but the other day I noticed her biting squidge's [the new ones] ear. She did this to Nibbles when she was alive. Is this normal, or should I be worried/seperate them.

Guinea pigs do groom each others ears sometimes - is this what you mean? This can be a sign of ear mites. If they go for each other, bite and cause damage to the ear flap it's fighting.

If you have any concerns please do keep them apart if you can. My Winston got into a fight before i got him and one of ears have a bite more out of it! It doesn't hurt him but it has made him quite scared!
