Ruby is Chloe's mum and they are my two guinea pigs. They get along quite well, but even though Chloe is five now and Ruby is six....well Chloe still annoys Ruby.

I've just put them in the C&C cage I built today and Chloe is following Ruby around closely and nipping her hair and always trying to get her attention. Ruby who is more independant has already mastered the ramp onto the hayloft but Chloe is a bit annoying to her. She's nice on her own on my lap but she's a bit of a pain to Chloe!

One last question I wasn't sure whether to put this in housing or in behaviour! But i'll tag it on the end of here!

Ruby is biting at the cage bars of the C&C and only stops when I discourage her. I'm wondering if this is a bad thing and what I should do about it if it is? Or if it's okay and normal. I don't want her breaking her teeth!

Maybe since Ruby is the more independent one Chloe is looking for reassurance from her by pestering her - especially with Ruby being her mum ?

I dont know about the biting ..... does anyone use bitter apple spray on things piggies bite that shouldnt ? I know it can be used with other animals.

Hopefully someone with more experience will be along soon for you.
