Logan is almost 3 months old and he is always nibbling clothes and human flesh, ten minutes ago he bit my nipple through my t-shirt, it hurt.

Is this how he learns his surroundings? And how do we discipline him so he doesnt do this forever?

Help us! Before he gets the taste for human flesh!
ROFL

Normally they will get the message from a light push or tap - he may pause for a bit and then start again, just repeat once each time he starts doing it until he gets the message.

Because piggies have to eat nearly all the time, if he's not feeling sleepy he will probably want to eat while on your lap. A handful of hay should keep him out of trouble.

Moxie is the same, and he's about the same age, he bites everything! I think that's just him though, maybe some pigs are just bitey. I dunno how to stop them, I just have to keep my finger away from his mouth. :)

He might be saying, "i want down to pee" ?
Just a firm NO usually does the trick.
My girls will try to nip me on the occassion, particularly when i'm trying to do their manicure rolleyes i say NO and they quickly back off so i immediately tell them that they're good little Princesses x)

Winston is exactly the same and he's almost 3 I'd say - we adopted him and I just thought that he might have been mistreated in his old home as once you pick him up, he just goes for whatever's closest to his mouth. He might just be a bitey pig though!

Corly pulls at my clothes when he needs to be let down, or to pee. A light tap does work, but remember the pig could be telling you something :)

My 4 month old is like this too! The walls, the doors, the sofa, me, his house......and his most recent achievement was through the power cable of my boyfriends hard drive! We r lucky Dillon didn't hit the live wire.....my mistake never had a nibbly piggie!

Dillon gets told no every time he chews but he still continues!

Jake was eighteen months and used to do this. He would have a nibble of everything including the radiator edge when it was on ! I thought it was down to him being young the same way babies put everything in their mouths. Just seeing whats edible and learning about new things.

Ouch, I bet that must have hurt!

Maisy (the older of my two), has started nibbling now and again when picking her up, but it isn't very often. She did draw blood a week or so ago, when nipping the fleshy part between my thumb and forefinger. Not sure why though..... Dotty has nipped, but only a couple of times.

As some have already said, I just give a firm 'No' and turn them around away from my hand. They are alright then.

Normally they will get the message from a light push or tap
You should never push, tap or hit a pig! All they are ever doing are things that come naturally to them. They will not understand that they are doing something wrong!

I have Minty, who has always been a biter. No rhyme or reason. A firm 'NO' sometimes makes him think. But I just adapt the way I hold him (with his head over my shoulder is a good one!) and then when he is on my lap, he is fine. It's us who have to adapt to piggies...they will do as they please!

Yes my little trotter who is 5 months old does this.None of my others do and theirs always plenty of food on demand for him.I sit him firmly on my lap and stroke him quite rough and he seems to calm down and dont bite so much or nip, could it be a stong male thing?sue
