my flat is being done out, new central heating and fire, rewiring all the electrics, new bathroom and new kitchen. i can't wait for it to be done, but it's going to take a couple of months with the flat being a mess and dusty! so i have had to move bob and jim outside to a hutch from camp nibble http://www.campnibble.com/ they normally live in a cage in the living room

i've put all their toys from the cage in the hutch, but they're not used to being outdoors all the time, only in the pen when the weather's nice.

(these are actually my old foster piggys in the pen!)

it's only going to be until the works done, i've put loads of bedding in there to keep them warm, i just hope they'll be ok :(

How is the weather at the moment? If it's pretty mild then hopefully they'll be ok.

Lots of people start to put their guinea pigs out in the summer, even at night, so I'd say they'll be fine :)

Keep an eye on them for any sneezing or anything, just in case.

it's ok, it's not cold but it is raining, i'm going to get a hutch cover tommorow to make sure they stay dry. i'm so glad they're doing the work now and not in winter. i will keep a close eye on them, i hope they forgive me! haha! x

The weather forecast is hot for the next few days so with all the usual precautions, they should be ok.
I had all this work done a couple of years ago and it took me ages to sort everything out after rolleyes but luckily, we didn't have the piggies to worry about.

We are having a full house rewire then decorating and a new shower starting end of July so I have been through all the what to do with the gang worries!

My rabbit and 2 guineas live outdoors so will be fine - I'll move the hutches to the far end of the garden. My indoors elderly guinea will be goiong to his old hutch by day and can come back inside overnight.

My little Chinese hamster will either go to a neighbours during the day or has a space at my pet boarders pencilled in that week - will send him there I reckon as he gets very nervous.

Will do the same when we have the decorating done - but not as worried then as my parents will be there. During the rewire they are going away and I will be at work in the day so want the animals out of the house and away from the workmen!

Hope it all goes ok - be worth it in the end but is a worry I know!

i've had them out the last couple of nights while it's been warm so they can get used to it, and i spent half the night looking out the window with my torch to make sure they were ok! haha! i'm shatterd! during te day they've been in the pen so by the time they go in the hutch they're knackerd so just go to sleep. it's just me worrying because they're not used to it. the cage is quite big, it's 2 tiered aswell, the hutch is abit smaller, but it is big enough for the 2 of them x
