Fweeper
Junior Guinea Pig
Hello all! I've managed to get my boys into a split cage that allows them just over 9sqft of space each, with a barrier down the middle so they can still chat and interact, but no more bloodsports can occur at night. Thus far, everything seems good and there's lots of popcorning and glee, but I'd like to ensure I give them the best I can so I'm looking for suggestions on how to make it better?
They were rescue, so they have various behavioral weirdness that includes loathing floor time with a burning passion. They've been with me a year and they just hate it every time I try, doesn't matter what we do, so I've given up since it upsets them so much. They're very content, however, in their individual cages and are quite lazy little souls so it seems to suit them well! I was wondering if there were any stimulating toys and things I could give them to keep them thinking? They have the usual paper bags/toilet rolls of hay and treats, mountain of hay each etc, but since they don't enjoy cuddle time or floor time, I worry they're not getting the mental stimulation they need.
