I'm a bit concerned about Fudge. Cuddles had her babies yesterday and since then Fudge won't come out of the "bedroom". She only comes out to eat and then goes straight back up.

They used to cuddle up together in the bedroom but now of course Cuddles is with her babies all the time and Fudge seems a bit "put out". Up until yesterday she was happily popcorning around the cage but she hasn't done this today just sat out the way.

Is this normal piggie behaviour for a female when her cage mate has given birth?

sorry no advice as never had any minipigs hope someone gives you the answers you want!

Best of luck maybe give her lots of special treats and cuddles from you!

Birth can affect relationships - some girls relish being "aunties", others don't. Give Fudge time to come to terms with her new situation, but be prepared to separate her if she bullies the pups.

Perhaps you might like to give big girls a little quality time together each day.
I brought out the pups as soon as mummy started looking for them.

Aw maybe she is just staying out the road, so not too annoy the new mummy. I don't have any advice either, never had mini piggles :(! Sorry!

Give her a big cuddle from me though!

Thanks, I'll try putting the girls in the cardboard run alone to give them some time alone.

She isn't bullying them at all she just runs the hell out the way if one goes anywhere near her as if she is scared of them?

They will be separated soon anyway as the more I examine them the more I think they are all boys but I'll put pics on here in a couple of days to get some help with that :)

I am also giving Fudge loads of cuddles which she enjoys!

Gave the girls some alone time yesterday in the cage, took the babies out and put them in the cardboard run. Fudge came out of the bedroom and they shared some grass! After eating they both went up to the bedroom area and snuggled! About 15mins later Cuddles came out sniffing for her babies so I put them back.

It was good to see they still have that bond though so I'll do that again today.

Thanks for the idea I feel happier now knowing that they are still bonded :)
