Bistro salad scatter feed

Here are all the piggies making short work of a bag of bistro salad (grated beetroot, lamb's lettuce, red chard, and apollo lettuce) mixed with a big pile of hay for their saturday playpen scatterfeed

Jezzy floof isn't too keen on competing with the others for food, so she always goes in the play pen first so she can hoover up as much salad and hay as she can in peace for 5 minutes, then she retreats to the hay cube and observes from a dignified distance
Now the others are taking a nap she's finishing off the rest of the hay!

Lovely picture. I didn't know guinea pigs could eat lambs lettuce. When it is in a bag of salad i get for my piggies i throw it away. I will try them with it next time.

The lamb's lettuce is the part of bistro salad that our piggies won't eat! Lovely to see these beauties enjoying their foraging time!

They ate a whole bag, shared between 6 piggies! Its their saturday treat after we've done the supermarket shop, a bag of fancy salad or a bunch of coriander- they dont get pellets or food in bowls on saturday mornings, just salad or herbs scattered about and hidden in the hay

Mine like lambs lettuce but much prefer red leaves
