I was wondering what was the largest litter to survive, as my lovely Lulu had 10 babies this morning (but only 6 survived). They are all good weights, about 70g, that means that total weight she was carrying in babies must have been about 700g! Poor girl!

My friends girl June had 9 bubs, all of which survived to start with, but at 1 week old she lost the runt.:(

argh, it's like me carrying a 5st baby to term!, roughly half my orig weight.... GULP, I ain't pushing doctor, sorry....:...

As I posted in your other thread, I was wondering if it was a record.

I will watch this thread with interest! :)

Good lord Sophie! Poor Lulu, it is a wonder she survived after a week of carrying 10 babies in such hot weather! Bless her, she's a supermum. It is so sad she lost four but I think ten babies would have put her under an awful lot of pressure.

Its hard to believe the Lulu coped with carrying 10 babies and in this weather! I am amazed ...... so sad that 4 passed away but I'm sure the 6 left will be beautiful like her and Loopy and her little bumblebees!

Aww congrats on Mummy she did so well, so sad about the 4 little angels though :( the biggest litter ive had is 4, 10 is the most ive heard of but have heard 6 survive no more
