:)) hello people i think the cage size i have is a 120 but i would like a 140 or something bigger any idea where i could find a large so my pigs can have a bit run round?
thanks :)

I think this is quite a useful resource, although it's a rabbit website, most of the standard indoor cages I would say weren't quite big enough for rabbits. Great for piggies though! http://www.therabbithouse.com/indoor/rabbitcages.asp

Anyway it lists a large variety of indoor cages, with sizes etc, which might help you find a good one to buy. http://www.zooplus.co.uk appear to have a lot of them for reasonable prices.

Other than that have a look on Ebay in your local area. I bought my indoor cage which is about 4.5 by 2.5ft for £10.

Pets at Home sell the Ferplast 140 for about £100. However, as everyone else says, C & C cages are much cheaper :))

Converted bookcases make great piggy cages

If you dont have cats or dogs and have the floor space a bookcase can be very good - my girls are in a 5 1/2 ft long by nearly 3ft wide one - just cut out the shelves line with correx (or blag some off your local estate agent (its what their boards are made from ) and away you go - if not look on ebay - it may take a while to find one and you may need to travel or get a relative to collect for you, but its worth it - I just got an essigy baffy 120 two tier one (meant for rabbits )- its about 4ft long and 2ft wide brand new & no other bidders £37 - £120 to buy normally - have also seen two 3 tier ones on their recently. & obviously there is the c & c route to go.

i seen them on just 4 cages. just goggle it they do lots of different cages and its free next day delivery i think.

this is one of my first c&c cages

I ordered my grids from B&Q but they come up on places like amazon and ebay. Originally designed for office storage cubes I reckon they make a much better piggy cage plus you can customise the shape to fit where you need it

I am selling a ferplast 140 with stand but you are so far away as I am in London.

Right I've just come home with a pack of these:

http://www.screwfix.com/p/4-cube-display/43900

I'm going to cable tie them together (100 cable ties in Screwfix for less than £2) Ignore the picture you do get 4 cubes rolleyes

They are great, much better than the B & Q ones in my opinion, & certainly safer for little heads :)

16 grids in a pack so easily makes a large C & C up to 8 x 2 so plenty of space for the little darlings to run about lol :))

Great stuff. :) You can get correx/coroplast from a local sign makers (look them up on yell.com) to make your base; or order it online. Alternatives that some people use is lino. Keep us posted on how it goes!

It's really spacious and looks fun for piggies but I personally wouldn't advise having open-sided ramps like that - they can be VERY dangerous!

Also it's worth pointing out that most people put an absorbent layer under the fleece (towels, mattress topper, incontinence pads etc) rather than just leaving the fleece on its own. Fleece works well to wick the wee away from the surface, directing it down to be absorbed underneath by other material. The owner in this video mentions washing the fleece every couple of days but if it had an absorbent layer underneath it could be left for a week or so before washing and the surface of the fleece should stay pretty dry.

i am going to go up b and q and see if i can get some correx and then go to screw fix up stockton and see if i can get some cubes thanks so much for all the links and i will keep you posted as i go thanks
