Best type of scales for weighting?

Hey all,

I’ve just adopted two new boys!

They’re so much bigger than my other two though and don’t fit in the digital weigh scales that used to be for baking and now get regular piggie visits . So obviously I could do with a bigger set and thought I’d ask what everyone else uses?

I use a set of Salter digital scales that don’t come with their own bowl. You can use any sized bowl or tub on them - just remember to zero the scales once you put the bowl on otherwise you can get some baffling readings!
These ones are very reliable (the vets are always amazed that my “home recorded weights” match theirs in their super duper scales). I’ve had them 6 years and still going strong.

Our boys also just go on a set of kitchen scales that are now theirs in a big mixing bowl!

We pop ours into an ice cream tub on the digital scale.

I hadn’t even thought of just using a different bigger bowl! What an idiot!

I use ordinary digital scales just like rp1993, pop a piggie size bowl on the top and tare it to 0 then pop the pig in the bowl, here‘s my rainbow boy Bill ☺
