After taking one of my girls to the vets for mite treatment I was told that I could do it at home. The vet prescribed Xeno 50 mini drops. Is this the best one or do you have other brands that you use? Recommendation welcome.

My girls looked like sticky, wet fur balls with the amount I was told to put on them however it did stop them scratching and biting out clumps of their fur though.

Hi

These are the UK brand vet grade ivermectin drops for guinea pigs up to 800g.

Don't worry about the sticky hair; it will be groomed in and absorbed over the coming two days. The itching may be getting shortly more intensive as the mites are reacting to it and will become more noticeable again during the second week after application.

You will need to two more courses, each 2 weeks spaced apart to make sure that you get all emerging mites.
