Best Hutches?

Ok I have a specification I would like my hutch at:

• Double
• 6ft Long, 2ft Wide, 2ft Levels
• No Run, So Solid Lower Level Base
• With Legs(not high though just a couple of cm)
• Hutch Cover Available
• Very sturdy, durable and of a high quality
• £200 Maximum(Not Including Cover)

What are the best quality hutches you could suggest to me, following the above specifications? I must emphasise that I want it to be sturdy, durable and of a high quality so it will last a lifetime!

I can't vouch for the sturdiness of this hutch as I have not seen one myself.

I would advise you have a good look at any hutch you intend to buy. The main reason to have a sturdy one is that it needs to be secure for your guinea pigs.

would the hole to the bed section have to be made bigger so one didnt guard

Rydale and boyles pet housing are very high quality but your budget is quite low, but these are very solid hutches and wil easily outlast your pets. Cheaper hutches can be false economy so be prepared that you may need to spend a little more for good quality :-) I have a chartwell hutch thats a 5ft double its 5 years old and falling apart despite being well looked after and reroofed I think those are around £150!

Also do bear in the mind that if you want the hutch to last you should lino the floors, you should get an offcut for £20 and then pet safe sealant (aquarium sealant) is about £10. Yearly coats of either pet safe paint or wood preservative would also be a good idea.
