Hi,
My pigs are brothers and are super close. So close that it's hard to separate them. I don't want to separate them for long but as they are Peruvian they often need a hair brush, this becomes impossible when they are curled up together or playing. If I leave one piggy in the hutch he wheeks continuously until his brothers back even if he's been held or fed. Anyone got any advice ?
Thanks
Pip

If you train them to come into an upturned hidey or a cardboard box with a towel at the bottom and a walk-in entrance (a little veg, grass or herb treat at the far end helps!), you can lift them both out in one go and have one boy in the box next to you while you groom the other; that should cut down on the separation issues! I use a waste paper basket that I turn sideways to transport 2-3 piggies of my own in one go.

Make sure that you always groom, cuddle and feed the the more dominant boy first, so you do not upset the hierarchy.
