Best bottled water

Hello. What type of bottled water should I used for my piggies? I live in a hard water area. So want to use bottled. Many thanks.

We compared all the bottles in Tesco for our IC piggie Luna and found Volvic was the lowest in calcium. The other shoppers must have thought we were quite strange

I just used a Brita filter when we lived in Marlborough and that seemed fine.
I never had any issues with the piggies.

I use a Brita water filter too and not had an issue.

I did look into this but think bottled would be cheaper?

The cartridges for the water filters are expensive so I buy cartridges that aren't Brita but can be used in a Brita jug. For example, I think Wilko sell a jug for about £5-£10 and the cartridges are around £5.

Volvic and Tesco Ashbeck are virtually the same, and the lowest calcium bottled waters that are in any way easily available. There used to be a really low calcium one called Deeside but that was hard to find.

So I got this jug. It doesn’t mention removing calcium. Do they all remove calcium?

Yes, it says it reduces limescale, which is mostly made up of calcium.

I read soooo much about filter jugs before we brought one. None claim to remove calcium…. Just limescale, which is the deposits left by calcium in the water.

The proof has been in the kettle. We live in a super hard water area.
I now use filtered water in the kettle and for piggies. I haven’t had to descale our kettle in almost a year, and I used to do it at least once a month.

I use thesame one. They do packs of 6 filters for it so I buy them when they're on offer. Our tap water made us sick so we got it for us and the piggies.
