Best Bedding?

Hi I know fleece is highly recommended,so I tried it and didn't like it and my parents don't want me putting the fleece in the washing machine so what bedding would you recommend that is cheap,easy to source and absorbent? I don't know if I can get fitch bedding in Ireland. Thanks for any replies.

I use aubiouse in the cages and litter trays of the run.Works great for me.Ten quid for 15 kilos I think.Boss swears by snowflake but don't know the cost for that as I haven't used it.I have used finacard as we which worked for me but aubiouse cheaper

@madguinealady where do you get your aubiose? I'll give it a try if I can find it. Is it soft on their feet? I've never heard of snowflake,I'll look into it.

Really soft.It's shredded hemp I think.I get no e from blendbetter in west Cumbria but you can probably find it on line.@Bosshogg uses snowflake but don't know where he gets his.

I'll look into it I'll try some equine shops if I can find any near me. I'd rather not buy bedding online because I prefer to buy big bags and delivery costs a fortune.

you could buy a horse wash bag for the fleece to go in before you wash it.. this is what i use as i don't like hairs ! never see any on my normal wash at all... trust me - i would see ! x

I could try that but another concern with using the washing machine is the extra cost of electricity how often would I need to wash the fleece I have two sows in the skyline maxi xxl cage? with disposable bedding I pay for it all. I also found fleece very hard to brush all the poo off of it. I'll try it again and see how I get on.
