Why does Benebac need to be discarded after 8 hours and why do dishes need to be cleaned each time with hot soapy water? Also, I was trying to sprinkle some on my guinea pigs food and she hit my hand and she had a light dusting on top of her. I brushed it off of her and rinsed her off with water. Will she be okay?

The new, more effective generation of enhanced probiotics (and some new style recovery formulas as well) like benebac plus contain substances that don't last for long when activated and that could turn harmful when ingested later on.

Your piggy will be OK though. It is not highly toxic, just counterproductive for the recovery when not used in the correct slot. ;)
