I have recently adopted 2 sows from a rescue and they were bonded with two of mine, one boar and a blind and deaf sow. My two went to the rescue for the weekend and I collected them all after two nights. Everything initially seemed ok and then there was a slight bit of dominant behaviour like head raises and mild chasing and a tiny bit of teeth chattering.

They have been here for just over a week and today I bathed them all as the new ones were a bit stinky and really needed it, that is when I noticed a tiny but pussie puncture wound on the ear of one of the girls I have adopted (she has now been seen by a vet and is on septrin) :( I have no idea who did it

As they've had a bath they've been kept inside all day and I have noticed the chasing is worse than I thought. One of the new girls is really bullying my blind and deaf girl and as she can't see her coming she is at a disadvantage. I feel awful even though there have been no injuries to her, she is frightened.:(

They are indoors in a indoor cage which probably isn't helping as they are all on top of the each but I don't have anywhere else to put them where I can watch them.

I have spoken to the rescue and they've suggested i return the girl who's bullying my one but that would mean splitting her up from her mate she's been with for a long time which I dont feel happy doing that.

I dont know what to do for the best, should I stick with it? remove the bully? put them back out in the bigger hutch? Please can anyone advise me

I think I need to do one of two things tonight before I go to bed - either separate bully pig or take them all back outside to their bigger hutch(it is heated) so they have room to get away from each other. I think the small cage was a bad idea :(

Are they dry? If they arnt, you can use a hairdryer on a low setting to finish them off. I do think they need to be moved back to the bigger hutch but not at the expense of their health, hopefully someone else will be along soon.

Yes they are dry but the "hutch" is heated to approx 15-18 degrees so not that different to the house

Then i would say move them back out, assuming its not to much of a temp drop.

I've just moved them back out and watched them for 5 minutes, they seemed to be rejoicing at having the extra space back.

I do hope they can sort themselves out!
