Hi everyone,

We wanted to find a good cheap wood for our piggies as they are ruining their wooden bridge into their cage.

Been looking for a while but cant find an answer. Is beech an okay wood for them to chew/eat? We found a few items for cheap which they will love.

Thanks

I can't see any problem with beech wood. As long as it hasn't been treated, it should be fine:)

Mine looooove beech, especially new growth twigs and leaves. They get a small bundle a couple of times a week at the minute.

Oo great will add beech to my list of forage.

Same here there are lots of beech trees around here. Wonder if it'll have the same effect as hazel (lots of excited squeals, squeaks and wheaks!). Mine also love bramble leaves too. Does anyone know if plum leaves are safe? and also what about buddleia leaves? The buddleia is dropping leaves at the mo. So far I've managed to site the run away from the offending behemoth of a bush (I never planted it it was here when I moved in 30 years ago and was only quite small then). I'm just worried in case the wind blows a few in and they get eaten :vom:I don't want my poor piggies to be poorly sick:vom:
