I am currently fostering two piggies and have them in an indoor cage (homemade out of a bookcase).
Currently they have a double layer of rubber pond liner, covered in newsapaper, then a small layer of hay. Will this be soft enough for their feet. Also, can you have parts of the cage that are newspaper only?
They don't eat the newpaper and I change it daily.
I have thought about using megazorb, but found it too dusty and fleece seems a little time consuming. This way I can just throw away the paper and bits of hay.
They also have a bed area in a cat litter tray which has newspaper and a big pile of hay as well as their vetbed lined tent and a hayrack with their 'posh' timothy hay in.
Thanks,
Catherine
