Hello,,

So I’ve recently built my piggies a new cage. The last thing I’m waiting for is their fleece bedding which is going to take around a month to be delivered.

I was wondering what I could use in the meantime?
Are blankets or towels a good idea or not.
I’m Used to shavings (which I hate)

Thankyou in advance ☺️

I would not recommend using a towel as a substitute for fleece bedding because it does not soak up guinea pigs pee and it takes ages for the wet spots to dry. You might be able to use it under some fleece though as an extra layer. I also think using a blanket for bedding depends on what it is and if it guinea pig safe or not. There are some really cheap fleece 'blankets' for pets though that you can buy on Amazon and get it delivered for the next day if you are interested in looking into that. I hope you find what you are looking for. :)

Or you could go to your local grocery store and maybe find some fleece blankets?
In shops near me they are all fluffy or too expensive that I don’t want to cut them into what I need.. I’ve just bought some off amazon so we will see what they are like.

But thankyou :)

you can use towels as long as you change them out daily :)
