For corner buckets...

I used carefresh before, then swapped to Back 2 Nature bedding as much cheaper and happily used for about 5 years now, but recently unreliable on amazon in terms of when it will be delivered. Any ideas for other fillers for corner buckets which live in a cage of fleece (so no shavings preferably). I like deliveries but need to be able to plan it for a set day otherwise I won’t be home...

Do you put hay on top? I use a pine litter with hay and it’s perfect! No odours, no tracking and it’s heavy so the pigs can’t move it (Bella likes to rearrange the cage, something about pig-shui...). Cissy eats a piece occasionally but other than that it’s been great!

Yep lots of hay on top. Does the litter not go everywhere outside the bucket? That’s why I’ve avoided wood before

Nope! Very rarely I’ll see a piece when sweeping up but that’s usually because Cissy has dug it out a little looking for snacks...

We currently have 2 kitten litter trays and one small dog/cat bed with it in and it doesn’t seem to go everywhere in those :) I think because they’re so heavy and dense.

We like the Kaytee clean and cozy paper stuff, its expensive but very absorbant and we get the Amazon subscribe and save monthly delivery with 15% discount if you buy 5 things. Amazon have completely run out of hay a couple of times and have doubled the minimum pellet delivery but the Kaytee has come every month no problems! We use it in our corner litter/hay trays and in our "hay room" :)

finacard/softacard website sell paper pellets very similar to back 2 nature,it is very good substrate.maybe you could try there pellets.

I used to use back 2 nature and love it. I found it was cheaper on vetuk and they are very good delivery wise, they use dpd who tell you what day they are delivering and within a 1 hour time slot. I'm lining my trays with free newspapers at the moment as last years vet bills ran into thousands and I'm trying to build the savings account back up. I will be going back to back 2 nature as soon as money allows!

Thanks for the tip on VET UK. I will try that. I’ve just ordered a small bag of cat Celect (typo deliberate) which seems to be the same as back to nature but seems to be cheaper. I’ll let you know what it’s like (£11 for 30l on next day delivery Prime)

I looked at Kaytee but the back of the pack has a warning that it contains something that is known to cause cancer!
