Hi everyone.
I used to use easibed for my 4 boys but the place I got it from stopped selling it. They replaced it with something which says it's low dust rather than dust free which easibed does. I had no choice but to try something else as had no time to search elsewhere plus needed to do a change.
I ended up buying megazorb which the pigs have now been using for a couple of weeks. It seems to be so much better than easibed, I have all long hair boys and megazorb is staying so much drier. My only concern is the cost, with 2 large outdoor hutches, I put a very thick layer on the bottom plus 1 side with hay. Do people think it would be OK to put a layer of easibed then megazorb on the top?

You could - but I think you'll find it'll get all mixed up ...

Options ...

1) if you have an equine supplier or pets supplies that can sell you a hemp based bedding ( such as Aubiose ) in 20kg bale - or Megazorb in bulk .
2) try an alternative that can be bought online -- such as Finacard
3) maybe consider fleece

This is a good thread ...

Thanks for that. After using megazorb for a bit longer and actually seeing even more how good it is, plus the fact that you don't actually have to take out as much when spot picking, I am going to stick with it. Think the bag should last me about the same time as Easibed even though a smaller bag so actually not too bad cost wise.
