:clap::clap::clap:evening all:)

Have decided that the fleece was just too smelly for my rather large sensitive nose!:yikes:

Have bought 20kg of Fitch and it has just arrived... Wow, 20kg is quite big!:oops:

So i was thinking of putting the bulk of it in the garage and storing a pile for easy use, in something like a storage box or Flexi tub etc.

Just wondering what others are using to store their bedding in to keep it fresh and dry... And out of sight from my grumpy husband who already thinks the piggies have taken over the dining room, utility room, garage, garden etc etc!

I use Aubious and a 20 kilo bale last me about a month. I empty it in to two 80lt black plastic bins which are kept in a metal horse feed bin next to my shed. Bit different to your house storage issue though

I also use Aubiose and buy 35 liters at a time.
I bought 2 regular black bins with screw on lids and put a couple of bricks in the bottom of each one. I empty the Aubious into that and leave them on the patio by the back door.

This is an interesting post.
I ordered 15kg of Hutch Hemp from friendship estates yesterday. About an hour after I placed my order I got a hay delivery. :D so I have 10kg of hay in my shed and I have no idea where I will put the bedding. My rabbits live in the shed now so there's a lot less space than there used to be and I used to buy a smaller bag of hay every week so the bedding was the only "big" thing.

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a few more bags of hay arriving this week. At least I ordered small bags :)

I will be watching this thread and hopefully I will think of somewhere to put the bedding :D

I used a large trash can( the kind on your drive way that the garbage truck picks up) and I sealed it extra tight with a bungee cord.

Grab a couple wheely bins as they are specially designed to keep pests and water out
Otherwise split it into smaller bales and store in metal/plastic dustbins with lids
If you use dustbins keep them in a garage but a wheely bin could be kept outside
