So, I have had my two females for about a month now. GiGi and CoCo. GiGi sadly was diagnosed with ringworm (i've heard this is so uncommon...) around her right eye. She has been in quarantine for over a week now, with 4 more to go! So I have two cages now. I put them beside each other so my girls won't get too lonely. But the poop is driving me nuts! I use CareFresh, about 2 + inches in each cage. I was spot cleaning 3-4 times a day at first to keep them nice and clean, I simply used tweezers, and picked it up. But now, these cavy's poop EVERYWHERE! They do not really pick a spot to go, well, CoCo poops and pees right beside her food a lot, but GiGi is all over the place... It takes me an hour 2x's a day to clean out the poop. I replace the entire bedding every Friday, but with two cages, I'm going through way too much bedding. I have been reading on litter training them, I may try that. I also was reading about how people use fleece, towels, and newspaper, (on other sites, and also one of the threads here...) I'm wondering if this would save me a ton of time and money?! And is fleece safe if they gnaw on it? I have four little kids at home, and keeping their cages fresh is taking it's toll on me... Please help?!
