Bedding question

i use something similar called yesterdays news but i mix it in with sawdust because it feels quite hard and i was worried it would hurt my piggies feet. i sprinkle some of that underneath then cover with the sawdust.

Thank you, I'll probably get this and sprinkle some hay on top! Thanks for your help! I can order her monthly shop now. :))
 
i think when they pee on it it expands and becomes softer. i use newspaper underneath aswell.
 
The local pet shop have their small animals on this, it looked ok (grey little sausages is how I'd describe it lol!) it does seem to scatter when they run, & may need newspaper or something underneath otherwise I should imagine the piggies would poop on the bits that aren't covered (knowing piggies :)))
 
Thank you both for your advise, the newspaper shouldn't be a problem, I can pick up a free one on my way home from work on fridays (I give the cage it's full clean over the weekend).
