Good morning!
Advice please. We currently use sawdust and hay as bedding . I want to move to the pads as I am sure you all know, the mess is awful and cleaning out is a pain .
What do people recommend for pads. There seems to be quite expensive ones on market . Would prefer a cheaper option if there is one or even one I can make myself?
Also do any of your use hay trays in the cage?
Thanks 😊

This is our guide for fleece bleeding - A Detailed Guide For Fleece Bedding

You can use puppy pads or incontinence pads underneath and then put a layer of fleece on top, rather than using actual cage liners.
You can also buy washable incontinence pads which obviously removes the waste element

I sewed some piddle pads - I cut two layers of fleece and got a mattress protector for the waterproof and absorbance, cut that up, and sewed it between the fleeces. Make sure the edges are all in so the piggies can’t chew through to the mattress protector, and sew a few rows towards the centre to hold all the layers in places.
Wash without softener until water goes through the fleece and doesn’t sit on top-good to go!
