I've just switched to fleece today, but was wondering what others with fleece use as bedding inside the little wooden houses, if any bedding at all? I used to use hay but obviously this would be very messy on the fleece (their hay is now in a hay rack). Just don't want them getting cold at night!

Ive switched half the girls hutch over to fleece cage liners today :) (need to make the rest yet), i put tons of hay in the bedding area as always :).
Just peg the fleece on the line when it needs changeing bits of hay will soon fall/blow off :).

I use fleece and they also have a hay rack but it still ends up all over the fleece.I give it a good shake outside and also brush it down-it comes off pretty easily.

Thanks, yeah I might just pop some inside the little house, I don't think they'll get it all over since it's pretty enclosed anyways.

I do not put anything in the wooden cabins as there is fleece on the bottom.

Piggy bedding

Hi Sarahtee - I use fleece bedding too but I've followed some advice I found on here and I use an old, shallow cat litter tray as a sort of hay bed for my boys. I put a layer of newspaper, then and old scrap of tea towel (towel etc) then a tiny piece of fleec on top then hay on top of it all (cos my boys love to eat and sleep in it so it get filthy every day! I clean this out every day and replace the hay - they also have a hay rack on the ledge area. I find this keeps the rest of the cage fairly clean and tidy and they have no problems jumping into it. I've also bought a piece of correx to make into a sort of hay-loft just for hay but haven't had time to make it yet!

Hope this helps xx
