Bedding ideas for a week?

Hi were going away on saturday for a week and my friend that has piggies herself is having Sarah and Elizabeth in their cage (that should be funny walking that round the corner minus the girls lol) Anyhow her pigs are on wood shavings and outside. So I'm wondering whether using carefresh would be eaiser for her than fleece? There going in her kitchen diner for the week and want to make her life as easy as possible as shes also going to feed my cats every mroning for me.Also Rolo poos and wees for britain lol so wondered if being on shavings for a week would make MIL's life easier as she could just clean the dirty bits out? Anyone use these that can help?

I might end up leaving the girls as there not too messy on the fleece it's rolo really as he needs changing more than the girls.

Carefresh would be easier then fleece and would be fine for them to have.

Sarah & Elizabeth were on shavings here with no problems, the smell is minimal and the wet patches are easy to deal with. I've used Carefresh and Megazorb and I can't stand the smell!

Thank you for your replies. Suzy thanks for reminding me of that as it was Elizabeth I was weary off due to her hair! My friend thinks the girls are gorgeous and I've a feeling their going to be spoilt rotten lol! As I've got both cages to do i think I'll use the shavings as that's what she uses. If Rolo lasts longer on shavings he might end up on it permanently! He's lovely but he's messy boy lol

My pigs have always been on shavings or Bedmax (which is an equestrian shavings that are large flakes) and have never had a problem with them all lasting a week. I tried Jim my very old indoor lad on fleece and found it horrendous, so he went back onto bedmax in his dogbed (he was freerange-I think I must have been bonkers!) with newspaper underneath.

I'm sure your girls would be absolutely fine for the week, I know you will worry about them all the same! x
