Hi Everyone,
I have 4 guinea pigs two boys called Alaska and Popcorn and two girls called Coco and Caramel. I have recently adopted the girls and I have treated them for mites as I noticed they were itching as soon as I got them. I have purchased the Ferplast 120 guinea pig cage for them. I hope this cage is okay? They were being kept in a tiny cage that I thought was unsuitable as I didn't think it was big enough for a hamster let alone two pigs. I currently use Back 2 Nature bedding and I have found that this bedding can be quite expensive when having to fill two cages. I was wondering whether any other bedding would be suitable? I have purchased a litter tray for them so that I can hopefully train them so that the cage is easier to clean. I use fitch bedding for my hamsters but I am not sure If it is suitable for guinea pigs. I have looked into fleeces but my mum is really against it as she doesn't want to have to wash them in the washing machine.
I also have a run attached to the cage and when I am in they can run around in that.
