Hello folks

New poster here, wondered if anyone could advise.

I've been buying woodshavings from Pets at Home but I can't get to the store this week, so I wanted to buy some wood shavings and hay from Amazon - can anyone recommend a brand in particular? I was going to get the Pillow Wad brand of wood shavings as that seems to have been well-reviewed by customers...

Many thanks all!
H

I love the Chipsi brand from Zooplus website. It’s VERY dust free and is tiny chips of wood unlike shavings. Very absorbent as well. Will try and get a link for you.

Thank you, I appreciate it! Are Zooplus quick to deliver?

Thanks for that! Yes, I've heard that Timothy Hay is particularly good. How is it on dust levels?
Very good, I have a big 9kg (I think) bag and it’s completely dust free so far- there may be dust and smaller bits right down at the bottom but so far nothing! Very green and smells lovely haha!

First two pics are Timothy hay from link above- lots of seed heads and stalky bits that they love.

Other pics are from meadow hay bought in a store. I will only buy this if it looks nice and green. I tend to use the meadow hay as bedding as it’s softer but they adore eating it as well.

I get Thoroughbred shavings from Fleet equestrian on Amazon, they're not the cheapest but after buying several different types and getting nothing but dust, I figured it was worth the investment to avoid vets bills XD they only do 20kg bales though as far as i've seen. Very well dust extracted though as it's for horses with allergies, barely a spec of dust in any of the bales i've had.
