I'm really stuck on what to do for my piggies bedding they live inside (in my bedroom) and they have woodshavings atm which is making them sneeze a bit more than normal i like it because it lasts, its cheap and it helps prevent smell but i want them to be comfortable obviously ive used carefresh before and there cage stunk after 2 days and it lasted no time and was a little on the pricey side any advice?

Hi I used to use shavings too and they are such a mess! Now I use fleece and I love it. I layer towels down and then place two layers of fleece on top. I change it every three days by washing it with soap powder and no fabric conditioner. It is lovely and cosy for piggies. :)

i actually used fleece and i didnt really get on with it the piggies woul;d just make sure a mess and it would smell so quickly they also found ways of going underneath it and making even more of a mess!

You could secure it with clips but if you do not like it I cannot think of anything else. Sorry.

I recently changed to megazorb with hay on top after researching on here and I find it's much more absorbant than shavings, I get it from a horse feed shop for about £8 and it lasts a long time as it's a horse sized bag! my guineas enjoy burrowing around in the hay and they seem to prefer it as it's dust free (you don't need to use extra hay as well if you don't want) hope this helps x

I use an equine dust free bedding called Allbed. Found it cut down on the coughs and sneezes from ours.

We buy it at the local farm shop and it's much cheaper than anything in the pet shop. If you can't get Allbed at your local farm shop perhaps they'll have other dust free equine bedding that is suitable for piggies.
