hi guys
I think my girls need a bath they got urine stains on them winter and daisy are pure white and roxy got white on her bottom
I clean them out in the evening do I don't know why they have it
What shampoo can I use
Many thanks

if its yellow urine stains on white fur/hair i usually find no amount of washing gets the stains out .i cut the hair with rounded scissors to remove the stained hair and give a bum bath.its not advised to bath guinea pigs to often.when i do bath i use gorgeous guinea pig shampoo...neem shampoo.its a uk website.
I'm hoping someone can link the bathing guide on here.

Unfortunatley it does show much more on white piggies.ive a longhaired white sow that gets stained fur from urine i have to cut the hair short around the bum.

Thank you its looks dry just the staining I thought oh no I'm not doing it right but they must be happy there doing a muching sound while eating there veggies

I literally bathed by piggy just yesterday!
For if an when you need to give your pigs a bath, here are a few tips:
  • Use warm water - they tolerate baths much better when the water is warm!
  • Try to get it done quickly so the piggy doesn't stay stressed for long.
  • Give them their favorite treats when they get out of the bath - from personal experience, I've found this helps calm down my piggy.
  • Bath your piggy in the morning on a warm, sunny day to reduce the risk of them getting cold and sick.
  • Always put them back in a freshly cleaned cage.
  • Try to dry them with a hair dryer (on slow setting) to gently get them 90% dry.
I hope the tips stated above from my personal experience help!
I recommend you check out the bathing guide link that @Swissgreys provided. I've read it and it's very helpful.

It's just because she's white. I bath my long haired piggy once a month she's white underneath and still stained yellow from pee. Just doesn't come out!

This really is far too often to be giving your piggy a bath, unless there is a medical reason for it.
Most piggies can get away with very infrequent baths, although if they are long haired you may need to keep their fur trimmed to help with this.

Thank you for you comments. Her hair picks up a lot of dirt and debris so unfortunately she needs it.

Now roxy got it it on her back don't now how she managed to do that i did see her hiding in her hay she thinks I cant see her but I can she is still very nervous but she don't hid away when I put veggies down

Can you get special wet wipes just to do a quick clean withing that area instead of bathing
