This is a broad overview of various types of bedding used to give owners an idea of what is 'out there' and the pro's and con's of each Guinea Pig bedding.
Fleece
Fleece is one of the materials you can use as bedding for guinea pigs. You can either use it in conjunction with an absorbent layer such as towels, puppy pads or Fleece buy cage liners already made with an absorbent layer...
I use a combination of anti-pil fleece liners and bobble bath mats. The mats are better for getting hay off but I prefer the softer/flatter fleece for my oldies with arthritis. Some people use mats only, it's down to personal preference really.
I also use a combination of both, the mats do need fleece liners underneath. It's a fair amount of outlay but long term saving. If you don't care about the colours you can get some bargains.
I recommend that you get a pet wash bag and a handbrush with silicone bristles.
