Jeff decided to barber Cameo today, while I was at uni rolleyes

He's done a very good job, better than I do cutting her hair anyway!

What I'm concerned about though, is what he did with her hair?! Do they eat it? Or do they just chew it off? (I couldn't see much hair when I cleaned them out, but there was a LOT of hay on the cage floor rolleyes)

Do I need to be concerned about Jeff getting bunged up?

Cameo's new short back and sides!

They eat it I believe. I've had barbering start in my herd! I've not yet caught the culprit but all my lovely long haired piggies have had layers put in courtesy of somepig! Einstein (my herd's boar) had his BEAUTIFUL fringe eaten off and according to my mum (I'm seeing the little man tomorrow - YAY - to assess the damage!) is getting regular trims from someone!

I don't think it does them any harm - it's a natural behaviour I think and they just digest it and poop it out! Might get some hairy poops though. God knows why they do it... but at least in my herd it's saving the long haired pigs from much hated baths and haircuts!

Poor Einstein!

I'm quite impressed by the job he's done!

My concern is that I'm away this weekend, and while my flatmate is feeding the pigs for me, she won't be as observant as I am! I guess he'll be ok though.... don't know whether to take him to work and just get them to monitor his poos!

I caught my youngest piggie Martha doing this last night. Nalah seemed to quite like it and at one point lay down with little chicken legs out the back. Strange :)

Toni & Guy eat ** heart out! lol

I suspected that someone had been giving Alfie a free trim, and i suspected Ruby my youngest.

The other night I caught her red handed during floortime taking a chunk off him. He is the only longhaired pig in her cage so maybe thats why. She did it just as he walked past quick as a flash!

Little madam lol.
