Senior Guinea Pig
It's the weirdest thing... Sundae went through a phase last summer when she would constantly barber Hadley's hind end (mainly when they were outdoors grazing on the grass together.) Hadley is a sheltie cross and has longer hair on her back, and this is what Sundae would go for. After the summer, it seemed that the behavior stopped dead just as soon as it started. Now we have come around to summer again, just this weekend I noticed that she is back to barbering Hadley. They aren't even outdoors yet this time (they only go outside at the cottage, as I can't guarantee that the yard doesn't have pesticide run-off in the city.) I'm really puzzled by this recurrent seasonal barbering... not sure what Sundae is thinking. Any ideas?
On the bright side, I have got to listen to the kids constantly reprimanding, "Sundae! Don't eat your sister's butt!" LOL!
