Hi everyone, I’ve just got a bluebell hutch for when I get my piggies and I am looking at making a banister for the top floor around the ramp opening. I’m not great at diy so it would be great if I could see some pictures of how others have done it!

Thank you

If you look at this pic, we just used a length of wood screwed to the floor where the drop is from the bedroom partition then angled at the top of the ramp (there is a grey dish infront of it in this pic) DSC_0179_resized.webp

Watch out for the ramp too. When I bought my bluebell hutch the spaces between the steps were too big for piggy steps. Such an oversight by Pets at Home

We screwed some wood to the floor as a banister for my bluebell as well.234546E9-42A6-44EA-A8B4-FE378F8413E8.webp

Thank you that makes sense. I’ve seen that some people have added some carpet to there Ramps so I was planning to do that to add some extra grip!

I have piece of vetbed on my ramp. The important thing is to make sure that you make sure it is removable so you can wash it

That’s a good point I hadn’t thought of that! I will see if I can stick it on with some Velcro. Thank you
