I am just got my piggies and their house isn't very furnished yet....so I was wondering, just so they have something to chew, if I could put balsa wood in there. Just a block of it. My dad builds model airplanes with the stuff so he has alot of spare wood. Is this OK for them to chew? And maybe eat as well? ;D

It would be better if you got some apple branches or natural wooden toys. O0

Thanks I will grab some :D

While they wait could I get some of my own and leave them in the freezer for a couple of days to kill all the bacteria and then give it to them?

Lots of hay to munch on is good for their teeth too and gives the Molars a workout whereas wooden toys just 'do' the Incisors :)

Do you mean the apple branches? All you have to do is give the apple branches a good scrub (just using water) and then you can put them in the hutch once they have dried. Make sure they are apple branches though and that they have no sharp bits. :)
