I know I probably shouldn’t freak out because my guinea pig used to have small bald spots behind both her ears, but today I was sitting with her in my lap and petting her behind her ears (she doesn’t normally let me) and I noticed that the bald patches were much much larger than the used to be. I really don’t know if I’m being paranoid, but I’ve had my pigs for almost 4 years and I truly don’t think the spots have been this large. I’m really unsure what to do, please help!

The bald patches behind their ears are totally normal. The changing in size of patches is also most likely not of concern provided : they are still symmetrical, there is no redness, flaking or crusting of the skin

Of course if you are worried then you should see a vet but it isn’t an urgent issue m

Thank you so much
