Hello,
I was hoping to get some reassurance that my assessment is correct. Bandit (over 4.5 year old male) got into it with attempted and failed bond mate Blaze on thurs 1/23. I've been checking him over daily, and last night (sat 2/1) I noticed a bald spot and a couple of scabs that I'd never noticed before. My first thought was that finally I'd found where Blaze must have bit him, but it does seem like I would have noticed it sooner despite all of Bandit's fur. Of course, I also missed the fact that Bunker (previous piggy) had a grease gland. In retrospect looking through his prior pictures, I always mistook it for his anus. Now Bandit's bald spot is visible even without digging through the fur. This morning it looks like the scab has fallen off. Really, it doesnt look that bad to me but I keep second guessing myself. It doesn't look like any of the pictures of mange mites
or ringworm, to me. Also, it's at the center of a rosette, so could it just be a missing chunk of fur from their fight, along with matted fur? I was gearing up for a whole vet/medical journey this morning, but whenever I look at it the skin looks normal except the pink raw spot where the scab fell off. Am I just looking at the grease gland again? Can grease glands be that high up?

That is not a grease gland.
It is a definite bald spot - whether it is from a recovering injury or due to parasites we cannot assess though.
The skin doesn’t look too irritated though
