Threepigs

I hope someone can help me. Our new baby guinea pig has a largeish bald patch behind his ear. The skin isn't broken and it doesn't look sore. He was sprayed with anti flea/mite stuff as he left the breeder. I wondered if one of the others had trodden on him and pulled some fluff out, but I think it is a bit larger than last week.

Jane, thanks, but this is really much bigger than the on one the other side and is growing. Choloe, I will do that, thanks.

If you are concerned it would be3 better to let a vet check the baby than to get info from a internet commercial site.

Some gps have bigger ear patches than others, and they can be uneven.I have 2 boars whose right ear patch is larger than the left side.

Bald patches on my pigs stomach

Hi, my 3 year old pig started losing her hair on her tummy. It eventually grew back but I've noticed the same thing has happened again but with more hair loss on her sides too. She has lost weight in comparison to the others but is eating, drinking and is still coming into season. Has anyone experienced this type of hair loss with their pigs? Thanks. I might have posted this in the wrong place - I'm new to this!

Thanks all. Maryh - I will see if a vet if he needs it but I just wanted to check it wasn't anything obvious (I'm new to all this). Thanks.
