I saw some poo crusted on his butt so i tried to wash it out with warm water and uncovered this red bald patch right above his balls. All the hair around it is kinda crusty. Any idea what this is? I was really worried but some sites suggest it is a grease gland. Sorry for the awful photos, this is all he would let me take

Yes, it looks like the grease gland. Please see a vet next week if the skin looks sore or if you struggle to work off any crusts (ideally with coconut oil).
