Bad First Date

First date didn't go to plan :(
They flew at each other but luckily no one was bitten.
I separated as there was also a lot of teeth chattering.
Does anyone know what to do to ensure a better date tomorrow?
 
O am sorry that it hasn't worked out. Personally, I wouldn't proceed!

It sounds like they have really taken a dislike to each other, and piggies are not very good at changing their mind. :(

Seven hours I took cleaning everything and trying to make it all go smoothly. As well as the £20 donation :(
I feel really disappointed :(

I am very sorry; we generally recommend dating at one of our recommended rescues (who all offer a bonding service under expert supervision), not at home - for exactly that reason. Guinea pigs can be very picky about who they gel with, but if things get aggressive right from the start it is simply not going to work out in th long term. :(

I am really sorry. Maybe they will be happy living side by side with a divider to separate? I have heard of boars being happy that way.

I had the same issue today trying to re-introduce mine, spent ages cleaning and spent a lot on a sensitive shampoo for one of my boars, only for them to still hate eachother! It happens, just keep trying - you'll get there :)
 
Thank you :( x I might save up for a few months to get another hutch! They will have to stay in separate houses for now :(
 
Date behind bars? Maybe they can resolve their differences with the help of a divider?
