Fudge has celebrated yet another milestone recently.. when she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was stabilised on medication, we where told it was severe and that her body, at nearly 6.5 years old, wouldn't last more than a week or two.
We are now 2 years down the line and I can't quite believe it. Not only has Fudge "lasted", she's been living. Living like a piggy should and enjoying life. She's nearly 8 and a half now, has a chunky tummy to be proud of and is weighing in at 1050g- the same as she weighed before she was ever Ill!
Iv never met such a robust creature, her will to live is just amazing. She's on so many meds and takes them in seconds without a second thought. Faced lots of complications and even survived major surgery when she was given a very slim chance.. because at that stage she wasn't a happy girl and we knew we had to make a hard choice. It only paid off because this little pig just wants to keep going and going!
Here's to making many more memories princess.
